Privacy Contact

1. Overview

This page explains how Niu processes personal data collected via this website and how cookies and similar technologies are used.

We aim to keep this policy clear and practical. If anything is unclear, contact us.

2. Data we process

  • Contact data provided by the user: first name, last name, email, phone, company and message content (e.g. contact/partner forms).
  • Necessary technical data: IP address, user agent, access logs, language, visited pages, date/time and diagnostic information.
  • Data related to technical cookies: language/country preferences and cookie-consent choice.
  • Google Analytics 4 data, only after consent: visited pages, navigation events, URL/referrer, device and browser information, approximate geographic area and online identifiers generated by Google Analytics.

We do not request sensitive data. If you include it voluntarily, we will process it only to handle your request.

4. Retention

We keep data for the time needed to handle the request and for legal obligations or protection needs.

As an indication: form/email requests up to 24 months; technical logs for shorter periods (e.g. 6–12 months), unless security needs require otherwise.

Data collected through Google Analytics 4 is retained according to the settings configured in the GA4 property. Analytics cookies may remain on the device until they expire, unless the user deletes them or withdraws consent.

5. Sharing & transfers

We may share data with providers that help us operate the website (hosting, email, security, analytics), acting as processors or, where applicable, independent/joint controllers under their terms.

For Google Analytics 4, the provider is Google Ireland Limited/Google LLC. Data may also be processed outside Switzerland/EEA; where required, appropriate safeguards are used, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent measures.

Our Google Analytics account may have data-sharing settings enabled for Google products and services, aggregated modeling and insights, technical support and business recommendations. These settings can be changed by the Analytics account administrator.

  • Hosting and infrastructure (servers, CDN).
  • Email services and lead management.
  • Analytics tools (only if enabled via consent).
  • Security providers (e.g., WAF, anti-bot, monitoring).

6. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures (access control, encryption where applicable, logging, backups, hardening).

No system is perfect. If a relevant incident occurs, we will handle it and communicate as required by applicable obligations.

7. Your rights

Under applicable law (Switzerland and, where relevant, GDPR), you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability (where applicable) and withdrawal of consent.

You can withdraw consent to analytics cookies by deleting website cookies from your browser or changing your browser settings. After withdrawal, Google Analytics will no longer be activated on that browser unless you consent again.

You can exercise your rights by contacting us at the details indicated. We may request reasonable identity verification.

  • Cookie consent withdrawal: anytime via banner/settings or browser.
  • Marketing opt-out: via link or email request.

8. Cookies: what they are

Cookies are small files stored on your device to ensure basic functionality, remember preferences and (if enabled) measure website usage.

We may also use similar technologies (local storage or technical identifiers) for the same purposes.

11. Changes

We may update this policy due to legal or technical changes. We will publish the updated version on this page and show the last update date.
